Around here, a celebrity sighting rarely occurs unless they are on location or scouting the area for an upcoming project. But sometimes, the stars align and famous people dine… or buy a restaurant.

Country music singer/songwriter Wade Bowen joined guests for lunch and graciously posed for pictures and “selfies.”

Bowen and former West 84 band mate, Doug McReaken, are co-owners of The Caboose BBQ in Alvin, Texas in Brazoria County.

“He seemed like a really nice guy. My wife and I enjoyed the BBQ and spotting a celebrity was a special treat for us, my wife is seriously freaking out,” said one surprised diner.

In an Instagram post, The Caboose proudly declares “@thecaboosebbq is proud to announce that our good friend and Texas Country music singer/songwriter @The Caboose BBQ team as a co-owner! Wade knows what good BBQ is and proudly puts his name behind our quality, and we’re so happy to have him aboard.
