A few weeks ago, Pearland foodies lined up to celebrate the grand opening of NYC-based chain Pokeworks, the nations leading healthy, fast-casual poke restaurant.
The Hawaiian-inspired chain’s newest location is in Pearland at 2630 Pearland Parkway, Suite 110. The poke scene already includes locations in Katy, Montrose, and The Heights, with plans for a shop in Webster.
You may be asking what is “Pokeworks?”
Poke means “to slice or cut” in Hawaiian and refers to chunks of raw, marinated fish served over rice and topped with vegetables and savory sauces. “Pokeworks” in cafeteria-style dining. You can order your meal four ways: In a rice bowl, wrapped like a burrito, on a salad or kale noodles.
Pokeworks first opened in New York in 2015, and quickly grew with over 100 locations across the country.
