Researchers at FitSmallBusiness.com ranked the Lone Star State Numero Uno.
Texas is only one of two states to hold a place in the top 10 for the second year in a row. The state topped the list as a result of its business-friendly climate, lack of corporate and income taxes, and high rate of startup success alongside our below average cost of living.
However, the report says female entrepreneurs are still facing challenges compared to their male counterparts. Women who apply for business loans received about 45 percent less capital than men.
