Leaders from the state Senate Finance Committee will have a public hearing Monday to discuss Senate Bill 3.
SB3 states that full-time classroom teachers are entitled to a $5,000 salary increase above their 2018-2019 school year salary. If the bill passes, it would give teachers the raise starting in the 2019-2020 school year.
The public hearing before the Senate committee will begin at 10 a.m. Monday.
