A popular Brazoria County Deputy passed away on March 6th after a courageous battle with cancer, according to the Brazoria County Pct 4. Constables office.
The deputies friends, family, and coworkers gathered on March 14th to celebrate his 66 years of life.
“Calvin could always be counted on to defend the weak against the strong and to fight for what was right, he had a belief that good would prevail over evil and worked the majority of his life to make it so,” recalled Brazoria County Constable James Brawner.
“He was very proud of his family, he was a faithful servant to his wife Cynthia, and always had something to say about the kids and grandkids. It was very clear that they all were the light of his life, when he began to talk about family was when Calvin was at his happiest and his best.”

Deputy Calvin Cole Calvin retired from West Columbia Police Department after 25 years of service as a Police Officer, served as a volunteer firefighter for the West Columbia Fire Department for 22 years and was employed with the Brazoria County Constables office for over 10 years.
