My favorite holiday of the year is upon us, Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. And, Pearland is taking part in the festivities.
The Pearland Islamic center has released a helpful guide to fasting times in Pearland for this years Ramadan period.
Pearland Islamic Center will host a Pearland Community Ramadan Celebration (2803 Business Center Drive #101) on May 17th from 6pm to 9pm where guests can enjoy an Iftar (The meal shared to break a fast after sunset during Ramadan), learn what Ramadan means to those who celebrate it, and Enjoy crafts, activities & presentations.
