A Texas high school substitute teacher was arrested on Friday, Nov. 8, after she was captured on video brutally attacking a student.
In the shocking footage, the teacher is seen holding the female student down in her seat. The teacher strikes the girl at least three times before throwing her to the floor. The beating continues when the teacher is seen stomping on the girl’s head before walking away.
Authorities identified the woman in the video as Tiffani Shadell Lankford, 32, who was immediately fired from her position as a substitute teacher at Lehman High School in Kyle, Texas, south of Austin.

In a letter posted on Facebook, the school’s principal wrote, “We take the safety and security of our students seriously. We took swift action when this incident occurred and will do everything necessary to protect our students.”
Texas Governor Greg Abbott weighed in on the incident via Twitter.
The Hays County Sherriff’s Office says Lankford faces a charge of second-degree felony aggravated assault.
The student is described as being 15-years-old and a member of the basketball team. She was taken to the hospital and is expected to be ok.
