On Saturday morning, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Focus on Furever, issued an urgent plea for an Australian Cattle Dog mix who is on the list to be put down on Tuesday, March 31.
The three-year-old dog named Rusty is being held at the Corpus Christi Animal Care Services facility in Texas – he is located in kennel 83.
The volunteer group said:
Rusty has energy. Rusty needs a plan. Rusty has til Tuesday to be saved.
Right now, he desperately needs the help of strangers who are willing to share his information – networking has proven to save lives.
