Former Councilman Hosting Mental Health And Autism Awareness Fundraiser (Oct. 3)

Pearland, Tx – Former Pearland City Councilman Derrick Reed recently announced his inaugural fundraising event, “Rollin’ Pearland”‘ set to take place on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at PJ’s Coffee in Pearland.
Please join me in making a difference and raising money to benefit Counseling Connections for Change, Inc., AND Hope For Three (Autism Advocates). Any donation, big or small, will help make an impact. Even if you decide not to participate in the bike ride on October 3rd, you can still donate. Thanks in advance for your contribution to these causes that mean so much to me and the sponsors of this bike ride.

Mr. Reed shared with MPN that his brother recently committed suicide and that has inspired him to want to help others living with mental illness.

“The mental health issues which led to the loss of my brother is still very tough for me to accept.  It definitely opened my eyes to how severe and widespread mental illness is.  Counseling Connections For Change is a great source of support for those who are currently in the fight with mental health issues and I hope you join me in supporting this great organization.”

“This fundraiser is also for the “Hope For Three,” an Autism awareness and support program.”

Helping Reed with the event is the owner of PJ’s Coffee, Kyra who has a child with Autism.
