Just hours after President Donald Trump and his wife Melania announced their positive COVID-19 results on Thursday night, Gene Wu, a Texas State Representative took to Twitter upon hearing the news with mockery and hate towards Trump and his followers.
In a now-deleted tweet, Gene Wu said, “Hard to serve a prison sentence if you’re dead.”
Mr. Wu’s message was met with immediate condemnaton with Wu doubling down and responding to a Christian offering prayers, “Your Orange God is not listenng.”
Texas State Representative Briscoe Cain chimed in via Facebook.
Gene Wu is a former Harris County prosecuter and is a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives since 2013. His wife is Miya Shay, an ABC 13 journalist.
