In crowded animal control facilities, pets who are ‘owner surrenders’ often are put down first. Such is the case for a smiling pup who was surrendered to the Harris County Animal Shelter recently.
His name is Cyrus and while he is smiling for the camera, the poor guy has no idea that he only has a few hours to find a family to love him.
On Tuesday, the Facebook Page ‘“Urgent Shelter Pets Houston ‘ said,

4/4 CYRUS was recently neutered so he can leave the moment YOU come in to adopt him. This handsome boy knows TRICKS and is ready to trot right out the front door with YOU the same day you FALL IN LOVE with him. NO WAITING REQUIRED
Call MONDAY at 281-999-3191 ext 0 to schedule a meet & greet with Cyrus.

CYRUS is a gorgeous young Labrador Retriever mix. It breaks our
hearts knowing Cyrus was loved and cared for but has lost his family because of the landlord. He has been waiting for 2 weeks for them to come back for him
and they can’t
CYRUS is a bit shy around new people, but just give him a few minutes and see how much this sweet boys knows~sit, shake, down, and is house-broken. He
loves dogs and would love to learn some more TRICKS with YOU. Watch his video in the comments to see him shaking hands with one of our volunteers!

Cyrus is a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever mix, is neutered and weighs 53.5 pounds.
HOW CAN YOU HELP: Adopt, foster, or share his information with family and friends.
